BRASS-Cargill English in Camp 2014

A thousand thanks to Cargill Palm Products Sdn Bhd for sponsoring the first time ever English in Camp which was held at Amansari Beach Resort dated 20-21 June 2014. The programme aimed at instilling the use of English Language among the participants in their daily communication.

Cargill has been conducting business in Malaysia since 1978. Operations include animal feed mills, shrimp hatchery, grain and oilseed distribution centres, palm oil refineries, as well as food application centres. Cargill, Incorporated, is an American privately held, multinational corporationbased in Minnetonka, Minnesota, a Minneapolis suburb. Founded in 1865, it is now the largest privately held corporation in the United States in terms of revenue. If it were a public company, it would rank, as of 2013, number 9 on the Fortune 500, behind Valero Energy and ahead of Ford Motor Company.

About 40 Cargill staff and 35 BRASS teachers were involved in the camp as committee members. 10 Form 5 students were also involved to facilitate the teams.

Many of the participants requested for the camp to be held again, and longer days. Their comments: "It was fun and awesome!"
