15 & 16 June 2010. This workshop aimed to guide the Fifth formers to get a better score in Paper 1 English 1119 in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination this year. The workshop was delivered by Cik Aiza bt Muhammad, an experience SPM examiner from SM Sultan Ahmad Shah Kuantan or SEMSAS. It was, in fact, a good workshop to be attended to by the target students. Nevertheless, it was quite sad to say here that the attendance was not very satisfied as the total attendance was only 93 students out of 192 who came to the workshop. It was more unfortunate when most of the absentees were the weak ones. Compared to the Standard Six pupils, they are more enthusiastic to attend the school's program. It is not to say that the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) exam is not important but SPM can be said as a turning point of one's life. Believe it! I've witnessed many of SPM candidates who regretted themselves for not struggling hard enough to achieve the best. So, my advice here for all Form Five students; do as best as you can and forget the hard time you have now. It's worth it. I think the Chinese proverb is the best to be applied, `Bukan senang nak senang'. It seems a simple proverb but has a great meaning. I also like to quote from a Hindi film `Three Idiots' where in the ending of the story, Rancholas (the main character) said, "Find EXCELLENCE, then SUCCESS will come after you."
The school has done the best for you students dear! It is you now to play your own part to show your star. Don't wait till the eleventh hour as a good beginning makes a good ending. Wish you all the best!!!
