26 June 2010. EMaS or English, Mathematics and Science Festival 2010 was held at Mini Stadium SUKPA Kuantan starting from 8.00 a.m. until 2.00 p.m. It was jointly organised by the English, Mathematics and Science Panel of Kuantan District with BASF Petronas Chemicals. The English Panel of our school was among the other schools in the district to take incharge of one of an English booths and our booth was known as `Wheel of Fortune'. We had prepared 5 games for the participants i.e. Grammar, Vocabulary, Poetry, Tongue Twister and Charade.
Two teachers and three students took the responsibility to look after the booth with the yellow T-shirts sponsored by the organizer the day before. They were Puan Nor Rahishah, Puan Zarina, Najwa Shahirah, Nur Ain Fathihah and Syahimi (all of them from 5 Cendekia) had successfully played their parts managing the booth. Eventhough we did not win any prizes and was quite tiring but it was a valuable experience as well as to meet with many students from other schools from around the district of Kuantan. We were, furthermore, had done some extra work by providing an autograph book for the adults who had come to our booth and among them were Encik Suhaidi and Puan Fauziah from the Pejabat Pelajaran Daerah Kuantan. The best activity went to SMK Sultan Abu Bakar's English booth with 1Malaysia concept.
